i am able to unlock an account without changin the password...
but now the status shows expired..

i want to know how to open it .. but not changin the password..

"expired" means password life time is expired so you have to change it... but you can use the same one if your password policy allows it.

thanks ..

but one of my account was locked and expried.. the dba had to open my account without changing the password...
he did it i want to know how.. and commands for it

You want to know what? How to unlock? How to change the password?
Unexpiring = changing the password.
