hi experts,

How would you ensure that standby database is running fine and currently synched with primary database??

kindly revert me with the answer.

One way is by monitoring standby's alert_SID.log file.

database synchronization


means syncing primary database with standby database.

But define synchronization, database synchronization, what is the criteria of synchronization?

criteria of synchronization is :

Transfering all the daytoday archivelogs from primary database to standby database for backup.incase if any disaster happens in primary db ,will allow the standby db to work as primary db until primary db recovers.
