Could be a zillion reasons for a "Crash".
These days, folks are crazy enough to slam a sledge hammer on the server and blame it on global warming.
That said, posting all the possible remedies would need some level of creativity.
All the most legit scenarios are already in Oracle documentation.
If you can post your specific question/scenario, someone would be in a position to help.

Regards

Just check the docs.
This is a good start.

At no time this century have I had Oracle RDBMS crash when run in a supported configuration.
You might as well worry about a meteor hitting your data center.

Now THAT would be a way to crash your db

Ahhhhhh!!!!

*Runs around panicked*

We did put out backup machines in another room far enough away that a plane crash on one server room won't take out the second one.

But we never thought about a meteor!!!!!!

*Does a quick simulation*

Ah, no worries. If the meteor is big enough to take out both server rooms, there is a 99.7% probability it will take out all our DBAs (read:me), too. So it's not my problem.

The FIRST action item in any disaster recovery plan I do has always been "Ensure an updated resume stored in at least 3 different off site locations!".
