frm-41214: unable to run report [message #350830]

hi all,

i tried to run the report from form in oracle forms 10g, its raising the below errors:-

frm-41214: unable to run report.

on the same time, i have successfully run the report, which one is developed newly.

problem raising report is migrated from 6i to 10g.

my os xp, db is 10g, forms and reports is 10g

please update me

This error is generally due to some error in report.But rather than showing exact error the form is showing message Unable to Run Report.
Best way to see error is to run report stand alone using url like:
http://server:port/reports/rwservlet?report=report.rdf&userid=username/password@database&destype=cache&desformat=pdf& paramform=yes

Thanks for fast reply,
i tried on your way, like below but its showing no such command like this
http://127.0.0.2:8889/reports/rwservlet/report=test.rdf&userid=pdmtest/pdmtest@eist&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&%20pa ramform=yes

In which directory are your froms? In which directory are your reports?

What is the name of this directory? What are the names of your forms and reports?

For the third and final time. Point your 'Windows explorer' at the directory that holds your forms and reports, click on the name of that directory, press 'Ctrl-C' to copy the name, and then in your reply to this post, press 'Ctrl-V' to paste that information.

Hi David,

I face the similar issue , and my reports and forms are there in the same folder under D:, can you help me on this as i get the same error message.

Most likely the problem is in report's parameters, or pasing a value to them. Other guess.. there are some dropped features (6i -> 10g) Try to compile/run the report from Report Builder. You should see something more...

I was able to fix the issue , the problem was with the server name it was not the correct name.

hi david,

i'm facing the same problems with the others, and got error every i tried to run the repots

i also install DEV Suite 10g and database 11g on OS XP.

until now i have no way out to solve this thing.

have you a magic way to fix it.

I was also facing same error, on investigation I came to know that report path was wrong. After correction it executed successfully.
