New to Oracle, some Financials, Inv and PO modules went in Nov '97. OE to go in this Spring/Summer. Getting hit with so many patchsets for all modules! Oracle says you must comply!! Other users (allegedly) refuse to apply patchsets and only apply patches to resolve TAR's. What's your experience?

You either take a chance without them...(because you know from experience that you can); or you implement them as Oracle suggests. I recommend researching the patch sets. This is not really a task that anybody enjoys, and can easily take up the better part of a week. You'll find however, that maybe only a handful of the patches apply to what you're cuurently doing with the product.
