Hi,
My oracle database has currupted. I have the backup of the whole Oracle folder as I had taken the backup of the computer a week before.

So if I install a fresh Oracle database, how can I restore the old database files. Please help me on this with some steps.

Regards,
Mahi

If you backed up the folder when database was down, the answer is yes (assuming the folder contains all database files).

Only if you are lucky...
Stop the database (if it is shut down yet).
Save the folder.
Restore the previous folder.
Restart the database.
Post the errors if any and last part of alert.log.

Regards
Michel
