We have an old application (Forms 6i) that runs SQL%Loader. When the HOST command is used to run sqlldr, the windows command box pops up and disappears within seconds. We cannot read the message it displays. No log file is created. Is there any way of having the pop up box remain on the screen so that we can read the message?

Be quick and capture the output with "Print Screen" key (this might take some time and require someone (young?) with good reflexes). Paste it into "Paint" and read it.

Optionally, put SQLLDR call into a .BAT file that ends with the PAUSE command. Then call that .BAT from a form trigger.

My guess is that it is going to say something like sqlldr is not a recognized command, meaning you do not have an environment setup, such as PATH, ORACLE_HOME, etc.
