Apologies if this is a silly question but I'm relatively new to OWB.

My question is that if a source and target column are changed from varchar(4) to varchar(10) for either a view or table that is used in a mapping, do we still need to reconcile the inbound and outbound for each entity in the mapping, regenerate the whole mapping and then redeploy ?

Or is OWB really clever and dynamically builds the mapping process so that it can be treated like a black box so long as source and target columns keep the same name and data type?

I am planning to test it but our development source schema is a bit of a mess so if some one knows for sure then it would save me time.

Many thanks,

Steve
