I scheduled backup scripts.. full, incremental, archivelog on my 11g database.
Backup works fine....But
When I crosscheck for sbt channel then some backups are not available and marks it expired...
I want to know how MML be configured to backup available for cross-check..

One explanation would be that your tape library is deleting stuff, in which case you need to DELETE EXPIRED BACKUPSET;. What does your system administrator say?

yes I think rman cannot see the tapes that contain backups...So it mark it expire while running crosscheck..
Sysadmin says they did not delete backup from tapes at their end....

You can believe RMAN or you can believe your System Administrators.
By the way, your keyboard is faulty: it inserts multiple "....." characters which make your posts painful to read.

Quote:So I would say to sys admin for review the policies at tsm server.
Indeed, this is the main reason a backup could disappear from the tapes.
Review your tdpo option to check the class in which your RMAN backups are taken and with your sysadmin to know the retention for this class.
