Hi,

I've a oracle8 running on windowsNT and oracle9i on windows2000. I want to sync/run both the databases parallelly so that if any of my windowsNT r windows2000 systems is down I need to retreive my data. Is it possible (how ?)? Can anyone help me backing-up my data.

Thanks in advance,
Murthy.

possible scenarios
1. do an daily data transfer between the databases
(export/import).
2. if any one of the databases is considered as PRIMARY
DATABASE, other one can act as a standby database
( look into standby databases).
3. set up a replication
4. use RMAN to clone database 1 to database 2 in a regular basis.
