Hi
First i want to know why there is need to put tablespace in backup mode in user managed backup and not in rman backup.
Second plz explain me what are virtal circuits in details.
I will be thankful to know if u can explain me these things in detail.

RMAN takes the backup (creatting the backup pieces) in BLOCK LEVEL.
