Hi,

I am currently working for an application in Oracle 11g DS.

Specs require input to be in Bengali Unicode.

I have configured the Database in UTF-8 Character set. And I can now (After a week of R&D) write Prompts Oracle 11g DS in Bengali Input.

Problem is :

WHEN I RUN THE APPLICATION, IT SHOWS SQUARE BOXES ONLY AND THE TEXT ITEMS (WHEN I INPUT IN BENGALI) SHOWS ???????????

Seems that Oracle JInitiator does not work for Unicode Fonts.

Please, anybody, can u help ??

Hello,

Welcome to OraFAQ. You need to provide more details. What application is it? A web based or a tool like SQL Developer etc.? Are you able to see the characters in your browser? Probably, you have unsupported locale specific NLS settings for BANGLA. Just a guess until you provide more details. Mostly when someone says I only see ?(question marks or even upside down ? sometimes), it boils down to client side NLS settings.
