Hi Friends,

we bought two HP XP128 and will start to set up our oracle databases on this SAN's. We've some Instances on one Server e.g. /ora1/DB1/system.dbf, /ora1/DB2/system.dbf, ....
We decide to user Business-Copy from HP and need to back up with RMAN from our business-copy.
But what will be the szenarion if we need to recover ?
If we recover to the business-copy we need to syncronisize the complete Business-Copy. This encounters all of our databases on that server. But we want to restore only one Instance from there, so all the other instance should be up during the whole time.
Did anyone have expierience with such a constellation on SAN Systems ? I guess thats not only on HP-SAN's - this can heppend on all other too.
Thanks in advance
Uwe
