here's the scenario. The DBA's fire up a rman script to backup the entire database. It runs for 12-19 hours. If 5 hours into the backup, a tablespace has to be extended with an additional file, does rman know about this ?    Will this new file created hours after the backup started be included in this backup, or will it not get backed up till next time around ?   If we backup the controlfile after the backup, will it include the new file ?
