While replication is suspended can we use the database [message #75165]

I have replication setup between to servers running 8.1.5. When replication is suspended I cann't update the tables on any master site. Is there anyway to correct that.

If replication is down for say 2 hrs I should be able to update the table on the database. Please post your reply and experiences.

Hi Rajiv
Yes ..it is a known behavior .Thing is if the two sites are under synchronous mode it won't allow any transaction if any one of the site is down or replication is stopped.
for this you make it async then u can achieve.
