I have an application to develop to be hosted on the Oracle 9iAS server. For Database I have an option to use

--- JDO [[Java Objetcs
--- EJB 2.0

What is more effiecient and support available. For me performance is an key factor.

This sounds like a cool project.

jdo is a lightweight persistence framework..
i guess you'll need a o/r mapper to write to a rdbms like ora9i.. unless ora9i coame with it..or if the jdo vendor gave it to you...

if you already have a app. server with ejb2.0 you can have local ref. and other features to increase enitity ben perf...plus app.servers come with o/r mappers and save money there..
a good understanding of design patterns can help you reduce/keep at min. remote calls. and help improve performance with EJB2.x..
