2. Could not access this ... http://hostname:7777 I wanted to access oracle9ias welcome page through browser. I have configured oracle managment server before this and service is running. what to do to access oracle9ias welcome page.

1) did you modify the wdbsvr.app under modplsql/conf?
This is the file to specify the DAD to connect to database using plsql module.

2) Take a look of the httpd.conf, check the server setting, port, documentroot. Also, check the access_log and error_log under the logs directory which will give you some idea of what went wrong.

hi,
thanks for ur help. Iam using 9ias release 1 and 9idb release 1. Are these both compatible.this is first question.becos dbcache is not working in this cache.first machine 9ias and second 9idb..in this case dbcache is not working. i followed docs and did it. still failed..i mean dbcache is not connecting to the 9idatabase during installation.
Secondly, I didnt mention anything in wdbsvr.app.Earlier I tried to change the DAD but of no use. and in httpd.conf i did change the server name to local host and also the port no. but tell me abt the serverroot..i dint do anything for that. can you tell me what to do for that.
Kindly answer step by step.
thanks in advance

1) which version of 9ias rel 1 ?
1.0.?????
Depend on the version, the earlier version of 9ias has problem(JDBC) to connect to 9i database when you try to install the portal.

2) Have you checked your tnsnames.ora has the cache database setup? It should have an entry for the cache database when you install the dbcache.

3) Are you able to access the http://yourserver.port/
