I installed Form 6i on personal oracle with win95 and
run well at the condition that the pc was not connected
to company network, but when I connected the pc to the
workstation (Novell), the form can not connect to the
database. The message is Ora-12224, TNS: no listener.
Would you please to help me to resolve this problem.

Thanks

Search the internet for this oracle message number. I did, you will find lots of info on what the problem might be. Sorry, but sometimes there is no quick answer. Be diligent and you will prevail. Good luck, Kevin M.

I think on your database TNSLISTNER is not running. Try to configure the listner on the server and than change the tnsname.ora file on your client accordingly. this message is because our client is not geting the right listner
