I'm on track to take the Oracle DBA classes which concludes with Oracle9i Database Performance Tuning. However, the database I will be supporting is using 8i and will not convert to 9i until after June 03. My main duty will be performance tuning. My question is - will it be better to take the 8i Performance Tuning course now and put off the 9i until June. Is there that much difference in tuning 8i VS 9i?
