Handling kanji characters in Oracle 9i makes data truncation.. After migrating from Oracle 8i to Oracle 9i (NLS_CHARACTERset from US7ASCII to US7ASCII itself), we found that few Kanji characters are missing , i doubt that it could be that few kanji characters are 3-byte , how to handle this ?
Is using UTF-8 format is the only solution ?
