Updates not being reflected into OWB target [message #122283] Sat, 04 June 2005 18:23

we have very critical issue and need your urgent help.

Environment -
A) OWB (design and runtime)
B) Runtime installed on Oracle in AIX 5.2 64 bit
C) Target tables database - Oracle 8.1.7
D) Created Synonyms of target tables [as C above is remote]
into OWB target schema of B above.
E) replaced RETURNING clause (generated in package generated in target schema for each update DML on target) by respective SELECT clause since RETURNING clause is not supported in Oracle 8.1

If I execute the OWB mapping (from deployment manager / process flow /
package), it completes successfully with showing the correct number of updated records in audit tables.
But the issue is, these updated records do not get reflected into target tables (C above).
Issue is with all the mappings. I put DBMS_OUTPUT to check if the primary key in where clause of update statement has correct values and it does have correct values.

If I run manual update statements on synonyms of target tables (D above), updates get reflected into target. So it seems there is no issue with synonyms.

Pls let me know the possible cause / fix. This has become extremely critical and your inputs are highly appreciated...
