hi,
i wanted to issue the following command:
SQL> recover database using backup controlfile until cancel;
but i got this error
ORA-00600 : internal error code, arguments:[17585],[1],[270223032], [],[],[],[],[]
plz help if someone gets what that means

You start off with the note. Go to MetaLink and look for the Note. If you search with the note's number you get 2 hits, so you will find it quickly.
It appears to have been fixed in 8.1.7.3. So, you'll need the patchset. It might be the right time to upgrade to 8.1.7.4 ( the final release ).
