Our database crashed while in the process of creating the Hot Backup. Since that point we are unable to open the database. We are getting the following messages when opening the database:

SVRMGR> startup restrict
ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 621157080 bytes
Fixed Size 96984 bytes
Variable Size 161644544 bytes
Database Buffers 458752000 bytes
Redo Buffers 663552 bytes
Database mounted.
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [18349], [0], [], [], [], [], [], []

Can anybody that knows what the 18349 indicates the issue is, please help???

Hi,

From Metalink Note:45427.1
Quote:

Bug 388603
An error in the 2 phase commit protocol, causing ORA-600 [18349],
has been corrected.

This problem was fixed in Oracle 7.3.3! What version of Oracle are you running?

Best regards.
