Hi all,

I have a windows 2003 server with 4 Oracle 10g database instances running on it.
One of these databases gives me a red alert in the Enterprise Manager that tells me that swap utilization is 97%.
This is a testing machine with a 1GB of Memory and there is not really a lot of transactions happening on neither of the 4 databases,in particular not on the one that gives me the alert.
I searched the Oracle docs for this and all i found is that i should use the Windows administrative performance tool to investigate the cause of paging and swapping....
The windows Task Manager shows 1.4GB page file usage...
the processes that consume the most memory are:
oracle.exe (4x)
java.exe (4x)(Enterprise Manager console)
If i stop Enterprise Manager console for 3 of the instances,
page file usage drops to 1.2 GB and the alert is no longer shown.
My questions:
-Do i just have to plug in another GB of RAM to fix this
or could this be a kind of Oracle configuration issue that
will occur again sooner or later even with 10GB of RAM?
-Why does only one of my databases give me an alert?

Thanx in advance
