Hi,

I want to know how to recover from a complete loss when the flash recovery area is in ASM.

The following link helped a lot when the flash recovery area was in a local file system.

But the OS commands like ls, cp doesn’t work when ASM is used making it difficult to identify the backup files and etc. I bet recovery under ASM is done using the RMAN> or SQL> so point me to the link or give any examples and advise you can give.
