hi
by using export&importing for taking bkup's
exporting terminated successfully without warnings but in importing
i got errors like,
existing state of pkg's has been discarded
SYS.DBMS_REPCAT_UTL pkg body not executed &
SYS.DBMS_REPCAT_MIG at line 116
and at line 1
import terminated unsuccessfully.

plz do help me in this

which user are you exporting / importing .. ? ?
by the error it looks like you need to run utlrep.sql (not sure ..check in forum / metalink for the sql file that is responsible for utl_repcat ) and it should fix the error ..

thank for ur reply,
i also got same error's in this,for in this case i just run the
following files,
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp.sql
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catrep.sql
then u got importing successully
