It's time to patch the forum. Please expect some downtime this weekend.

Ah, finally!

- the IM-speak blocker for Maarten
- the automatic to_date for joy_division
- the car-repair manual for anacedent
and of course
- automatic wrapping at 80 positions for Michel

All great new features!

As is normally the case with software upgrades, you are likely to find that:

1. the stuff that needs fixing wasn't;
2. new features you don't need were added; and
3. a couple more bugs were introduced.

Actually, I would have thought "Template replies" would have been Michel's thing...

Well, for a viewer from the outside world as we all are, it looks like the upgrade went very smoothly. Nice job!

Yes, everything appears to be working as it should. Most changes are internal and would not easily be noticed. Some of the more visible features are:

1. Colored user names in member list to easily identify moderators;
2. Moderators can move individual messages from one thread to another;
3. New topic description field added;
4. FireFox 2 spell check support; and
5. OpenSearch and RSS headers
Etc.

3. New topic description field added;

I'm afraid we'll have silly description in addition to silly title. Something like:
Title: URGENT! HELP!
Description: ASAP! Plzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sad

Oh, and I thought that "Administrator" of the OraFAQ is something like SYS in Oracle, and "Frank Naude" is just another "DBA" grantee which does the everyday job.
